Maths

We offer friendly, supportive maths tuition with a strong focus on GCSE students, helping to build confidence and improve results step by step.

Achieving a grade 4 or 5 in GCSE Maths is an essential requirement for many jobs, apprenticeships, and further or higher education courses. However, it’s also a subject that many students find challenging, particularly in a busy classroom environment where it can be difficult to keep up or ask for help.

With the right support, this can change quickly. A little extra guidance can make a significant difference to both understanding and confidence. Many of our students start out feeling anxious about maths, but with patient, structured support, they often grow in confidence and (shhhh…!!) some even begin to enjoy the subject.

Lessons are tailored to the individual, focusing on the areas where they need the most support, whether that’s strengthening core skills, improving exam technique, or aiming for higher grades. Concepts are broken down into clear, manageable steps, helping students develop a solid understanding rather than relying on memorisation.

We support students across all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR, and guide them through the types of questions they are likely to encounter in their exams. We focus not only on accuracy, but also on building the confidence to apply methods independently.

GCSE Maths isn’t just for school students. We work with adult learners who are returning to education after not achieving a grade 4 (previously a grade C) at school. This is often a key step for those looking to open up new career opportunities or progress into further study.

Each student has clear goals, and progress is tracked over time so both students and parents can see how far they’ve come.

Our aim is simple: to make maths feel more manageable, more understandable, and ultimately more achievable for every student.
